Using a Dionex ASE 200, provides efficient extraction of solid and semisolid samples using minimal amounts of solvent at elevated temperatures and pressures. The extract is then analyzed by various chromatographic and spectrophotometric techniques. This method replaces Soxhlet, sonication and other manual extractions.
Allows us to chill samples in liquid nitrogen and pulverize them without exposing the sample to heat or pressure or losing volatile components. It is used to grind implant materials, plastics, polymers, and other materials.
Is available to make a variety of test samples, including dog bones, bars and discs. The system handles up to a 70 cm3 polymer charge with 0-400 °C and an operating pressure up to 11 bar (150 psi).
Is available to mold polymer resins for analyses that require flat samples or cut outs from flat samples.
Is a chopping system used to decrease the size of a tube allowing re-processing of samples for analysis by various laboratory instruments. Whole tubes with diameters of 3 thousandths or less can be reduced to small sizes determined by the blade speed and feed speed of the chopper.
